Gail Bayer's energy and diverse interests abound throughout her Homewood, Alabama shop, Oodles of Ribbon. In addition to a collection of toile luggage, picture frames, clothing and local art, the store carries an extensive collection of its namesake item: ribbon.
In the midst of all this, Oodles of Ribbon also offers a comprehensive monogramming service with unique font styles (see brown, tan and turquoise bag, above). Bayer will monogram both items from the shop as well as merchandise purchased elsewhere (in this case, the LL Bean-style canvas bag was from Target).
Joan Adler's Personal Best Monogram Shoppe, in Washingon Depot, Connecticut will go so far as to create a custom monogram designed by their in-store artist. Apply your one-of-a-kind monogram by embroidery (fabric items), engraving (accessories in glass or silver) or printing (stationery or even wallpaper).
